Other EMT Classes
You do not need to gain approval from your SAR Unit or KCSO to take a state (college) run EMT course. Follow the application directions for the state (college)you are wishing to take the course from.

Upon graduation of the EMT course, you may wish to have Search and Rescue sponsor your EMT license. In this case, you will need to complete the KCSO EMT Sponsorship Application (1) and the Dept. of Health's EMT Initial Application process (2).
