Transfering EMTs or Adding KCSO as a Secondary EMS Affiliation
New EMT Graduates, Transfering EMTs, and EMTs adding KCSO EMS Affliation need to have their SAR Unit Director authorize their application for EMT Sponsorship. This Unit level authorization will assist the SAR Deputy Coordinator (Kathy Decker) in determining whether to sponsor an EMT. All EMTs in SAR need to be affiliated with KCSO in order to provide care at the EMT care provider level.
Step 1
- Complete the KCSO EMT Sponsorship Application

- Complete the Personal Status Change form

Step 3
- Send a copy of your EMT License certificate (3x4 card) and CPR card with your KCSO EMT Sponsorship Application to Kathy Decker.
- Kathy will forward the KCSO EMT Sponsorship Application to Joanne Bottenberg to faciliate your ongoing EMT continuing education. If you indicated you needed an account with KCEMS online CBTs on the KCSO EMT Sponsorship Application, Joanne will set up your online account for your CBTs and email you with your password and login ID.
