What is EMS Online?

What is EMS Online?

EMS Online is an e-learning site. It provides 24/7 access to the didactic content (cognitive objectives) for recertification requirements. EMS Online contains interactive learning exercises, video case studies, examinations and report tracking. It provides training in a consistent manner.

Does EMS Online replace instructors?

No. EMS Online provides the opportunity to streamline training. With EMS Online an EMS provider can complete the didactic portion of a course prior to practical testing. This gives an instructor the option to take the content beyond the basic objectives, perhaps to a mastery level, or provide training that addresses local needs or specialties. EMS Online allows more time for practical skills training and testing.

Is EMS Online approved by the State of Washington?

Yes. EMS Online is approved for use in the State of Washington.

What are the technical requirements necessary for my agency to use EMS Online?

EMS Online requires an Internet connection, a browser (such as Internet Explorer) and the Flash Player plug-in (a free download that is already installed on 98% of computers). More information about technical requirements can be found at http://www.emsonline.net/about.asp#browsers
