SAR Medical Tips-n-Tricks

This class will present, and provide time to practice, knowledge and techniques rarely taught in urban-based classes, such as: tying an ankle hitch, traction-splinting with any trekking pole, lower-leg splinting with a sleep pad, using a sleep pad as a CID, padding a backboard for long-term transport, the hypothermic-triangle, and much more.

This class will be taught as if to EMTs and OEC Technicians, but there are no restrictions on attendance. It is the participant's responsibility to understand and follow his or her own scope of practice.

Time will be allowed during this class for sharing of ideas, so please bring your own tips and tricks. Critiquing of all presented techniques is encouraged, as is polite acceptance of any criticism.

Instructors for this class will be Mickey Bombyk, Douglas Burchard, and Todd Rignel.
